Seven body repair technicians and one business administration apprentice are the latest editions to NEARC’s expanding team. The vehicle repair group is committed to tackling the motor industry skills gap, and together with on-site training, the apprentices will achieve nationally recognised qualifications.
Roger Collings, Director of North East Accident Repair Centres, and the Chair of the NBRA (National Body Repair Association) Executive Committee, said: “We’re acutely aware of the future as there’s a huge skills shortage in the industry. Apprenticeships are the way forward, and by taking people through the ranks, there's the potential for a long-term career, and we can grow the business with people committed to the North East Accident Repair Centres' ethos and standards."
